It has come to light through findings in the study linked below that chidren brought up by a single mother fare worse in school than those reared in a two parent home. Suggestions found in the text hint at a possible solution by culling the number of families with women at the helm. But again, the question remains: is it even possible, given the status quo, to cut down on the number of single parent families to create an environment which fosters the development of healthy nuclear families?
